Skating Through It was primarily self-funded by Director/Producer Nisma Zaman. Approximately 8% of the production expenses were covered through donations from individuals, mainly via the Kickstarter and Indiegogo crowdfunding platforms. The International Documentary Association (IDA) served as the non-profit fiscal sponsor.
